As Good As I Would Treat My Own Kid

Who Will Speak to My Reputation as a Doula?
Busy Instagram Presence or Busy Doula? The Struggle is Real
Once a prospective client reaches out for an interview, my tech skills quickly show themselves. Covid forced me to get a handle on Zoom, FaceTime, and WhatsAPP. If you were to judge me by my website, FB or Instagram, you might pass me by in favor of a doula who has social media savvy.
In reality, I am a well-respected birth and postpartum doula, often booked months in advance, completing my calendar for the year before summer starts. Accepting that social media and technology skills are necessary for me to hone in order to be able to do this work, understand that the end-result is not indicative of the effort and time that I have invested.
Fortunately, many of my families leave reviews for me on Google or Doula Match, others send birth announcements or thank you notes that I have on my wall of fame in my little laundry room/office. Other clients pay the highest compliment of referral to a friend or colleague in-person or by posting, which is what keeps my business thriving.
My clients come from all around Bergen, Morris, Passaic, and Essex County. They work as stay-at-home parents, authors, restauranteurs and food scientists, investors, scientists, laborers from NYC, television marketers and content creators, and super-charged sales directors. accountants, and self-employed business owners. I have counseled my friends’ children, teen moms, and the random person in a grocery line who wishes to share their birth story one more time.
Because I am also a back-up doula to some of the best women in Bergen County, I am confident that if you ask other doulas about my service and reputation, you will hear only positive feedback. By request, my past clients make themselves available to potential clients for a brief phone call or text.
My website intentionally does not include photos of kids other than my own, by choice. The most intimate, personal and special time of someone else’s life is probably not why you are going to choose me as your doula.
