Welcome to My Page!

Bringing a baby into the world is powerful, transformative—and sometimes overwhelming. That’s where the right support makes all the difference. If you’re searching for a birth and postpartum doula, you’re already taking a meaningful step toward a more supported, confident experience. Imagine having a steady, knowledgeable presence by your side—someone who listens without judgment, guides without pressure, and helps you feel grounded through every contraction, every question, and every new beginning. This isn’t just about assistance—it’s about feeling seen, heard, and truly cared for during one of life’s most important transitions. Sounds like common sense, village building care?

Doula Style - Can You Relate?

Like many people—and even some of my own clients—I wasn’t aware of doulas when I had my first child nearly 30 years ago. Thankfully, The Childbirth Center in Englewood introduced me to a more thoughtful approach to birth, one rooted in warm, compassionate, woman-centered midwifery care, supported by doulas. The midwives were incredible, and for my second, third, and fourth births, they connected me with a dedicated doula.

Giving birth with midwives was truly life-changing. Nearly two decades after those transformative experiences, I felt called to become a full-spectrum doula myself. At the time, doulas were often associated with a niche community—people choosing home births and alternative lifestyles. Today, that perception has shifted. More families, including those planning hospital births, recognize the value of doula support, especially as awareness grows around interventions like inductions and cesareans.

The families who work with me often want meaningful information and steady support so they can make confident decisions throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. Most give birth in hospitals, and I have experience at Englewood, Valley, Pascack Valley, Hackensack University Medical Center, Overlook, Morristown, and several hospitals in New York City, as well as freestanding birth centers. I maintain an independent practice, unaffiliated with any OB group or agency, which allows me to take on a limited number of clients and offer more personalized care.

When I support clients during birth, I do so with complete trust in your ability to make the choices that feel right for you. I honor your preferences fully and advocate for them without hesitation. As a seasoned birth professional, supporting your family to help create a protected, respectful space so that when you meet your baby or bring them home, is my goal.  Working with me during pregnancy and postpartum means you can expect to feel empowered, heard, and in control.

Choosing the Right Type of Doula to Meet Your Needs

EXPECTING A LITTLE ONE?

A doula strengthens your birth team by supporting everyone involved—partners, spouses, parents, nurses, physicians, and friends—the important people in your circle. Through education and a steady, reassuring presence during labor, a doula complements—not replaces—the care of medical professionals, the love of your support system, and your own intuition. preparation.

BRINGING HOME BABY.

Postpartum doula support has also become more accessible, allowing families to choose the kind of care that best fits their needs. Many of my clients select either birth or postpartum services rather than combining both, tailoring support to what matters most to them.

WHEN DREAMS ARE LOST.

Bereavement doulas provide compassionate, non-medical support to families experiencing pregnancy or infant loss due to miscarriage, birth defects, or serious illness. They offer emotional presence, guidance, and practical help during an intensely difficult time, assisting parents in processing grief, making informed choices, and creating meaningful rituals or memories with their baby. By holding space without judgment, bereavement doulas help families navigate loss with dignity, ensuring they do not feel alone in their experience.
