My Circle is Small but Tight
About me
My Personal Story
Identifying Myself to Others (she/her)
I am a mother to four young adults, one daughter and three sons. My husband is a structural engineer. Together we have raised our family in Wyckoff for over 20 years.
I am a daughter without my mother, a sister, a sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, soon-to-be mother-in-law, a dog mom, and fierce protector of women. I have volunteered in athletic programs at the local and high school levels, for the Girl Scouts, CCD in our church, and food bank. My love language is food, I love to cook it, share it, and talk over a meal.
When we have free time, we hit Broadway, concerts like Pink, Ed Sheeran, and Barry Manilow. After taking in a show, we try a new restaurant in Manhattan, and walk the street with coffee. On Sundays, we walk our Goldens in Ridgewood, stopping at Paris Baguette, for lattes, croissants, and dog-friendly treats. It’s wonderful there!
Our town has a women’s bowling league, which is great fun, and a perfect chance to mingle with the women in our town. Many times, it’s a chance to hear birth stories from other women, giving me perspective and encouragement to support my clients.
My motivation for becoming a doula is rooted in my postpartum and birth experiences. I had a NICU baby, traumatic birth, and lonely recovery. I sought and experienced amazing doula care for my second, third and fourth babies, so I empathize. This also means that I have had my experiences, and I know how critical it is for you to have yours. I am present to support your vision, highlight your power, and hold you up in moments when you need it.
I have experience supporting traditional families, unique families and surrogacy families. When I enter into your home, your birth space, or your thoughts, I want it to be with a feeling of safety, warmth, and compassion.
