  • In-home visit in the FLOW area (Franklin Lakes, Oakland & Wyckoff)
  • Overall assessment of mother and child
  • Latch assessment during a feed
  • Optional weight check before and after feeding
  • Assessment of flange sizes
  • Written instructions and any necessary referrals

Breastfeeding is proven to reduce risk of SIDS,  reduce your risk of heart disease, hypertension, hyperlipidimia, several cancers and postpartum mood disorders. Breastmilk for NICU infants improves outcomes and reduces length of stay.  Ask me how I can support your journey and the steps you can take at birth to make it an easier experience.

Budgeting for Doula Support

It’s understood that the option of bereavement support is used only out of saddest necessity.  There is no need to pay for this support.

How do clients decide what support they can afford?  What are the options? Generally, there are more options for birth support than postpartum.  Postpartum support cannot be virtual, and it generally involved being in your home, with your baby or other children, so trust is paramount. Experience is key in the service arena – as a birth doula or as a postpartum doula, my job is to prepare you in the best way possible to bring your baby earth-side.

I will offer sliding-scale rates to organizations that support women in need. Through reflection on my family’s needs, my self-supported retirement, and my desire to serve bereavement for all women, I landed on the fee structure outlined above.  When you choose me as your doula, you are part of my journey making a difference in the lives of women who are not as fortunate when it comes to options for birth. I will support you as I would my best friend.
